Levi Branson Glover was born on November 24, 1997 in Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa. Marty and Kim were over the moon to welcome their son into this world. His early life was spent in the communities of Lewis and Griswold, where he attended school. He was the family goofball and had a great sense of humor. He graduated from Griswold High School with the Class of 2016. Although attending school was never a high priority for Levi, he found his true calling when he enlisted in the United States Marines on January 23, 2017. Levi stepped up to the challenges associated with boot camp and excelled. During his time in the service he worked as a combat engineer. He was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Expert in Rifle Qualification Badge. He received an honorable discharge on January 22, 2021.
His family describes him as a kind, caring, helpful and selfless person. Levi had a giving personality, sometimes to his own fault. He would often do for others and go without himself. He definitely had a huge heart. Levi most recently was employed as a carpenter and was working on a variety of remodeling projects. He enjoyed being able to work independently and the satisfaction that came from completing a job. Some of his interests included listening to music, dancing, fixing and rebuilding things, motorcycles, and spending time with his three dogs; Obie, Kenobi and Moxie. Time spent with family and friends meant everything to him.
The sunset on Levi's life in the early morning hours of September 17, 2022 as a result of the injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Life has changed for his family and friends. The one constant that will always remain is the love that they each hold in their hearts for their beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend.
Levi was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Russell and Maxine Palmer and Fred and Beulah Overbaugh; grandparents Wayne Glover and Maree and Roy Westfall; Aunt Patti Haupert; and nephew Christopher Bennett White. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents Marty and Brenda Glover and Kimberly Gipple and Cole Powers; grandmother Mary Glover; siblings Cyrus Martin Glover, Christina Glover, Hayley Glover, Saraya Gipple, Trevor Gipple, Shay Powers and Bailey Powers; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
